Wine Production in Texas Soars

Wine production in the state surged from 14,000 gallons in 1979 to a high of 1.7 million gallons in 1997. Today, Texas is the country's fifth-leading wine-producing state in the nation and is home to more than 54 wineries that produce over one million gallons of wine. It is expected that production will exceed two million gallons within the next five years!

Fredericksburg's own "White House Bed & Breakfast"

The White House B & B sits on a spacious corner lot a few blocks off of Main Street in historic Fredericksburg at the heart of the Texas hill country.  A lazy street, a giant shade tree oak and a porch swing are just a few of the things that will contribute to your memory making in this fabulous setting.  As the mockingbird sings his song or you watch and smell the thunderstorm rolling in from the west, you will appreciate this respite for the special place it is.

 

The White House has it all, the perfect weekend escape from the hustle and bustle of the big city.  Recently remodeled to perfection, The White House is a premier property worthy of Travel Channel recognition.

 

Two bedrooms of equal size provide the perfect getaway for one or two couples or the infamous “girls’ weekend”.  Each bedroom is beautifully furnished with king sized beds and luxurious linens.    It is “turn of the century” with all the modern amenities you could ask for.  You will have the house all to yourself when you stay here.  The owner lives in town, a phone call away if you need her.  Your privacy and a memorable stay are her goal.

  • A  Two Bedroom "Sunday House":  A private residence that you will not have to share with anyone.
  • A Large Parlor: Relax in the parlor; with a 42" plasma tv.
  • A Whirlpool/Shower: A modern bathroom with updated features provides a spacious whirlpool bathtub and shower.
  •  King Bed in both bedroom: The sheets have genuine West Texas Cotton with a thread count so high that it is hard to count.
  • Full Kitchen: You will find everthing you need to cook as little or as much as your like. The coffee pot is ready for that perfect cup to sip and enjoy with local delectable German pastries. 
  • Continental Breakfast: Let us treat you to a great continental breakfast each morning you stay with us. We have been told that it is one of the best Hill Country's best continental breakfasts.

  • $169 Per person Double Occupancy  Weekday Special (Sunday-Thursday)with a 2 night minimum
  • $25 extra person  per person/per night 
  • $25 pet charge     per pet/per night with a $200 damage deposit
